The interest in food and cooking is huge in Scandinavia and tv-shows like the Masterchef Australia series is shown on Swedish television. We choose to work with unique but popular brands to deliver Australian tastes and aromas to the Swedish supermarkets and restaurants.

In Australia we have several locally produced products and brands in health and hygiene that can’t be found in Scandinavia, and others we simply do better. Essential Oils, natural products such as creams, shampoo and soap, and sun protection are amongst the products that the market requests.

FASHION and ACCESSOIERS
The Scandinavians like good fashion and stylish accessorises, and we like to represent the quality brands that were born in Australia. From clothes to bags, jewellery and sunglasses we focus on fashion and accessories that will last for seasons to come.

An Australian, a Scandinavian and a friendship that began a decade ago, the first thing we found to have in common is that we both love Australia. Together we decided that it would be exciting, fun and satisfying to bring all of our favourite things from Australia to Scandinavia, and so born in AUSTRALIA was created. With backgrounds in sales and marketing, business development and general management and an active network in Sweden, we are enthusiastic and excited about providing Australian products to the Scandinavian markets.

The Nordic countries are a geographical and cultural region in Northern Europe and the North Atlantic. It consists of five countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) as well as their autonomous regions (the Åland Islands, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland). The Nordic countries have much in common in their way of life, history, language and social structure. Politically, Nordic countries do not form a separate entity, but they co-operate in the Nordic Council.

The born in AUSTRALIA office and distribution centre is located in Borås, Sweden. 20 minutes from Landvetter International Airport and 35 minutes from the Port of Gothenburg. Borås is the second largest municipality in western Sweden and is close to Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city and a 4 hour drive to Sweden’s capital, Stockholm. With easy access to the Scandinavian region we are approximately 3 hours drive from Norway and a short drive and ferry ride from Denmark.
